America 2005: The Coming Firestorm

The Dawn of MAN" is a hard hitting, fast paced and imaginative tale of alien influence in the origins of the human species and the future of mankind.

(PRWEB) December 17, 2002 - iUniverse, Inc., the leading provider of publishing technology solutions for authors, announced the release of The Dawn of MAN" the first novel by local writer Elbert Lewis, Jr.

The Dawn of MAN" is a hard hitting, fast paced and imaginative tale of the origins of the human species and the future of mankind. The author has managed to combine what we do not know about the origins of modern man with the latest advances in mapping the human genome into a believable scenario that is both intriguing and entertaining. He takes us on a wild and engrossing ride in a realm of science fiction that compels the reader to consider a very different rationale for mans violent nature, the rise of civilization and humankinds place in the universe. The Dawn of MAN suggests a new and convincing alternative in the evolution vs. creation debate.

The Power of the Genome: In the year 2005, the Unites States of America, melting pot of the planet, realizes its ultimate destiny. For the first time in evolution the entire genome of the human race is manifested in one poly-ethnic individual. Endowed with the indomitable spirit of William the Conqueror, the battlefield acumen of Shaka Zulu, the military insight of Sun-tzu and the ferocity of Genghis Khan, he is the progeny of 1000 generations of firstborn men and the first MAN (Mutation Acceleration Nemesis). Logan returns to earth and becomes embroiled in a civil war that rips through the heart of America while he battles an invasion force of the most implacable aliens imaginable.

About the Author: Elbert was born in Logan, West Virginia in 1950. His family relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1954. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from high school and served with the 3rd Division in Viet Nam [1969-70]. Elbert was discharged and began his career with the City of Cincinnati in 1971. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati Evening College in 1986 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He became a registered professional engineer in 1992. Elbert served in various capacities from laborer to Asst. Superintendent during his tenure with the City. He retired in 1999 to live his dream and pursue a second career as an artist and writer. The Dawn of MAN grew out of his intense interest in the latest advances in mapping the human genome and his life long pleasure in reading science fiction and war novels. Elbert designed his novels cover and has posted an offering of his art as well as the first chapter of the novel on his web page. The address is: www.elbertlewisjr.com.
