Comedy Revolution Comes to Texas

A ground-breaking new seminar in Dallas, Texas will help people become paid corporate comedians in less than six months. New insights promise to turn comedy entertainment business upside down.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 23, 2003 -- A ground-breaking comedy seminar is coming to Dallas in February for the first time. The one-day Comedy University seminar promises to train funny people how to get up on stage and make money in the entertainment business in less than six months. This concept is revolutionary because it completely bypasses the comedy clubs and gives practical tools to those who have always wanted to be a comedian or simply want to be a more humorous speaker or presenter.

This special live seminar is called "Increase Your Comedy Power Now!" Steve Roye, a professional comedian and creator of the Killer Stand-Up System, will lead the seminar that is quietly changing the comedy entertainment business. "The great myth is that it takes several years to become a professional comedian. And thats because people are doing it the hard way," says Roye. "But now people can accelerate that process using my techniques to land paid engagements in the corporate arena in a matter of months. In fact, theyve been "comedians" their whole lives. I just help them take it to the next level."

One of Comedy Universitys recent success stories is new Australian comedian John Armytage who is currently earning upwards of $1,000 per appearance at corporate and charity functions. Armytage, a wholesale beauty products distributor has accomplished more in his three-month old comedy career than most comedians do in years according to Roye. "Ive always known I was funny," says Armytage. "I would get invited to every social event and function because I could make people laugh. But I never seriously believed that I could have a career as a comedian. Now its a reality."

Candidates for the $299 seminar must be screened and accepted prior to the event because not everyone is suited for the comedy business. "I cant make someone funny, but I can help naturally funny people generate laughs on stage," said Roye. And in the comedy business laughs equal money.

Additional live seminars will also be offered by Comedy University in other select cities across the country in 2004.

Comedy University is a division of the Global Comedy Netwok, an internationally recognized organization dedicated to business systems development, product research, quality improvement and marketing strategy development for world entertainment markets in the field of comedy entertainment and presentations incorporating humor.
