How Do You Stay Sane When Overwhelmed by Loss of a Loved One? Blended Family Issues? Job Uncertainty? Divorce? New Book Using the Model of Jesus Christ Provides the Answer

Staying sane when life is tough is the subject of a new book geared towards readers of all ages. The book offers readers practical tips on how to manage different life transitions, enjoy a fulfilling life in their new situation and help other people experiencing similar changes.

Victoria, BC (PRWEB) April 10, 2006 -- Most people become overwhelmed when going through a period of transition in their family or career. Each of us could use some tools to help us stay on top of our situations when life is upside down. Co-authors Dave Webster and Tolu Adeleye, through personal histories, provide practical and proven strategies to help individuals transition through difficult times.

Webster and Adeleye’s book, Stay Sane Through Change: how to rise above the challenges of life’s complex transitions, provides proven tools and important resources for readers to move on after facing divorce, loss of a loved one, job changes and relocation, a blended family, and more.

Using the model of Jesus Christ, Webster and Adeleye write about their own transitional experiences. Both Webster, originally from Barbados, West Indies, and Adeleye from Nigeria, experienced considerable lifestyle changes, including international moves, job changes and relocation, cultural and relationship issues.

For more than 25 years, author Adeleye experienced a number of life-changing events, including the decision to change careers from biomedicine to full-time ministry serving others. One of her most interesting life-changing events came when her mother was dying in Nigeria. Normally, Adeleye would have gone home for the funeral, but she had just given birth. “What a paradox—a mixture of sadness and joy!” says Adeleye.

In 2005 Webster and Adeleye launched a consulting business, Contemporary Lifestyle Consulting, which provides services in lifestyle management.

About the authors:

Dave Webster, M.A., has led congregations in the West Indies and Canada. He received his post-graduate education in Canada. He says a personal relationship with Jesus is a strong foundation on which support for life’s transitions can be built.

Tolu Adeleye, Ph.D., received advanced training in pharmacy in her native Nigeria. After moving to London, she earned a Ph.D. before immigrating to Canada where she worked in a biotechnology firm. She later changed careers and dedicated her life to serving others.
