Local Musicians Record Red Sox Rally Song – Reach “10,000 Download” Milestone

Four Musicians from Western Massachusetts have recorded a song they hope will be adopted as the Official In-Park Rally Song of the Boston Red Sox. It is currently available for non-commercial use free at www.redsoxrock.com where there have been over 10,000 visitors to date.

Chicopee, MA (PRWEB) June 14, 2006 -– Western Massachusetts-based musicians Michael Bouchard, Ted Chmura III, Charles Vadnais, and Joe Vadnais have recorded “Red Sox Rock”: a rockin’ rally song featuring a catchy, crowd-riling call-and-response style chorus.

“We wrote the chorus specifically to be chanted by a park full of Sox fans during a game at Fenway,” says composer Ted Chmura III, “…and we’ve created a 32-second ’Rally Mix‘ of the song for just that occasion. It’s our dream that the song eventually gets adopted as The Official In-Park Rally Song of the Boston Red Sox. Until then, our goal is for every Sox fan to have a copy of the tune for their personal enjoyment.”

The song has been made available for non-commercial use FREE at www.redsoxrock.com where fans are encouraged to “download it; play it; share it; sing it; scream it; taunt your Yankee-Fan Friends with it…call your favorite radio station and request it; get a copy to your friends - …have a blast as we lift up and support our Sox! “

To date, there have been more than 10,000 visitors to the site and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. “There’s definitely some ’buzz‘ happening about this song,” says long time Sox fan and friend of the band Nick Desroches. “When you get 10,000 hits with no formal marketing, something exciting is going on.”

Currently, four different “mixes” of the song exist, and additional mixes can be created quickly. The “Radio Mix” features verses, the chorus “chant”, and a tasty guitar solo. It comes in at just over three minutes. The “Rally Mix” cuts right to the chorus and, as mentioned above, is designed to incite the crowd. The Karaoke and Instrumental Mixes are full length and mixed accordingly.

Organizations considering using the song in commercial productions are encouraged to contact Ted Chmura III via phone or e-mail.
