Belden® Introduces Network Management Capabilities for Its Powersense™ Power Over Ethernet Hubs

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is the technology that allows powering of such devices as VoIP phones, wireless access points, IP security cameras, and a host of emerging products over the LAN data cabling infrastructure.

Centralized powering of these networked devices saves end users time and money over traditional powering techniques. Modular Belden PowerSense Midspan PoE Hubs can provide further cost savings through the continued use of existing non-powered Ethernet switches. With the addition of network management features, Belden PowerSense Hubs will deliver even greater cost savings for large distributed networks by allowing greater levels of monitoring and control of powered end devices.
