IVR Technologies and MetaSwitch Partner to Provide Innovative and Real-Time Enhanced Services to AmeriMex Communications Corp

Interoperability brings end-to-end IP SIP based calling services, interactive voice response, primary line services and real-time billing to next-generation networks.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 16, 2006 -- IVR Technologies, a leading software developer for IP enhanced services and real-time billing, and MetaSwitch, a leading vendor of next-generation carrier switching and applications solutions, have teamed to provide AmeriMex Communications Corp. with an advanced integrated enhanced services solution based on IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) standards. The combination of IVR Technologies’ Talking SIP application, media and real-time billing server and MetaSwitch’s Class 4/5 softswitch enables AmeriMex to offer its subscriber base of prepaid residential users the ability to make long distance calls directly from their homes without dialing local access or 800 numbers and without using PINs.

Founded in 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia, AmeriMex Communications Corp. is a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) servicing Alabama, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky and Texas. AmeriMex has emerged as one of the fastest growing residential telephone providers in these regions by practicing sound business principals and by keeping its commitment to serve its customers. Earlier this year, AmeriMex decided to shift its business model from reselling the incumbent local exchange carrier’s services to being a facilities-based operator, which required a robust telephony application platform that would enable it to deliver products designed for the Latin American market that the company primarily serves.

AmeriMex selected IVR Technologies’ Talking SIP and MetaSwitch’s VP3510 Integrated Softswitch due to both products’ ease of use and ability to meet the demanding requirements of the AmeriMex network. Talking SIP and the MetaSwitch Class 4/5 Softswitch are lab certified interoperable out of the box for revenue generating implementations like prepaid calling card, residential VoBB service, callback, reminder/appointment/wakeup service, tandem switching and a complete end-user accessible web portal for e-commerce and autonomous subscriber account management. The result: AmeriMex brought to market their comprehensive and competitive market-ready services in an amazingly short period of time.

IVR Technologies’ Talking SIP is an advanced software platform that combines three traditionally separate network elements into a single, tightly integrated solution for SIP based voice over IP networks. Talking SIP’s revolutionary architecture combines the features of an application server, media server, and real-time billing server into a single, cohesive, all-in-one solution. Talking SIP is designed to drive revenue to the network by providing intelligent and in-demand applications that attract users and reduce turnover through innovative features, creative billing options, customizability and end-user empowerment.

“Having been referred by an existing customer, AmeriMex came to IVR Technologies knowledgeable and confident in the solution we had to offer. It has been an extreme pleasure working with both AmeriMex and MetaSwitch during the interoperability phase as well as the configuration and build out of the network. By partnering with a best-in-class partner like MetaSwitch, our combined solution is able to meet AmeriMex’s immediate requirements and we are now onto discussions about future applications that will allow AmeriMex to maintain their competitive advantage and reaffirm their leadership position,” said Barry S. Sher, VP Business Development, IVR Technologies.

“MetaSwitch is honored to be part of AmeriMex’s ongoing success and transformation to a facilities-based carrier,” said Mike Ward, MetaSwitch Senior Vice President of Sales. “Our ability to deliver open, interoperable solutions enables companies like AmeriMex to build differentiated services combining the best of MetaSwitch’s robust carrier-class platform with best-in-breed complementary technologies such as IVR Technologies’ Talking SIP.”

AmeriMex CEO Don Aldridge stated, "IVR Technologies’ Talking SIP used in conjunction with the MetaSwitch VP3510 Integrated Softswitch, allows us to offer our prepaid residential customers the convenience of 1+ dialing while at the same time giving AmeriMex the control it needs in serving the credit challenged market. It really is a win for the customer and the company."
