Brian L. Baker, PE – Vice President of Engineering at Northeast Engineers

Brian Baker has joined Northeast Engineers and Consultants, Inc. as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Baker has come to NE&C having recently served as Deputy Administrator for GSA’s Public Building Service in NYC. Prior to that, he served a 25 year career with the US Army Corps of Engineers in a variety of leadership, management and engineering positions. For 5 years, he was the Department Head for Military Science and Leadership at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, Master of Science Degrees in Political Science and Civil Engineering from MIT.

Paul Sylvia, PE – Water/Wastewater Engineer Joins Northeast Engineers

Mr. Sylvia brings 35 years of civil, site, water supply and wastewater engineering and design. He has managed projects in all phases of engineering from preliminary design through construction. This experience includes site design, storm water design, roadway rehabilitation and construction oversight. He has served as the owner’s representative on two major health care facilities, as well as various housing projects, libraries, and schools. He will enhance NE&C’s ability to take on a broader range of projects. He holds a Bachelor degree from Roger Williams University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Florida.

Brian Kuchar, EIT, RLA – Landscape Architect & Engineer Joins Northeast Engineers

Mr. Kuchar joins NE&C with 12 years of work experience in multi-faceted landscape design and civil engineering projects. Brian holds a Bachelor degree in Civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic and a second Bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Rhode Island. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Rhode Island. His educational depth combined with his work experience make him a valuable addition to our site development practice.
