US PartyPoker Ban Refugees Spread To Poker Stars
Compatiblepoker.com has added Poker Stars to their USA list of poker rooms open to the US after the poker ban left many US Party Poker players stranded without a place to play.
(PRWEB) October 14, 2006 -- The announcement to add Poker Stars to the official list of poker rooms accepting Americans ( www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php ) came only a few hours ago.
Because of the press release issued by Poker Stars stating their stance, CompatiblePoker.com bumped them from the “Iffy” category to the suggested online poker rooms accepting Americans.
The reason most of these poker rooms will be accepting Americans is because they believe the gambling bill doesn’t change anything legally. The poker rooms still open to USA are saying the bill only changed financial transaction availability which might not take effect until 270 days from now.
All of the poker rooms on the USA poker list have had extensive legal advice and thus CompatiblePoker.com is strictly reporting what the poker rooms have said on that page.
The list will now grow into what financial institutions will and won’t be accepting American transactions to gambling sites. A few other places like Neteller have not stopped transactions for Americans and they are on the list of “Financial Intermediaries” accepting US transactions. The page announced at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php will keep track of all these major companies and their statements.
Big changes were made to the list today. Some front running sites that weren’t expected to back out of the market did. For now the site which will dominate the newly found USA market will probably be Poker Stars according to CompatiblePoker’s US poker list at www.compatiblepoker.com/usa.php.
