Comedy Podcast Features Queen of Mean Lisa Lampanelli

Jay Davis’ comedy podcast, The Handheld Show, releases a two-part interview with superstar comedian and actress Lisa Lampanelli.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 18, 2006 -- It doesn’t matter which ethnic, religious, or racial group you belong to, Lisa Lampanelli will lovingly insult you. And you will love it.

Nicknamed "Comedy's Lovable Queen of Mean" (NY Times), Lampanelli has been all over television as of late. Her headlining performance on the "Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson" received national attention, and landed her subsequent appearances on CNN and Comedy Central's "Weekends at the D.L." Her one-hour special, "Take It Like a Man," was a hit with the comedy network yet again, and the CD and the DVD of the same name debuted at #13 on the comedy charts. Recently, her roast of William Shatner on Comedy Central had people buzzing about her once again.

Between the high-profile comedy tours, Lisa is taping her second one-hour special for Comedy Central called “Dirty Girl,” which will air on January 28th, 2007, as well as filming a movie with Owen Wilson called “Drillbit Taylor,” a comedy about a homeless ex-military man hired by three kids to protect them. You can also hear Lisa on Howard Stern’s Sirius Satellite Radio show on October 26th, during which she will help roast Stern producer Gary Dell’Abate.

“Roasting, to me, is the most fun I ever have,” Lampanelli said recently. “I can’t believe I get paid to call people names and tell them they suck. But, hey, we all gotta be good at something.”

Jay Davis, co-star with Dane Cook in HBO’s Tourgasm, hosts the interview with co-host comedian Tracy Esposito at http://www.handheldcomedy.com .

“Honestly, this wasn’t much of an interview. Lisa was non-stop and so funny that Tracy and I had a hard time getting a question in edgewise,” said Davis.

You can listen to the show in real-time at the Handheld Comedy web site, subscribe via RSS (Podcast) for replay on your MP3 player, or download individual episodes for desktop playback.
