Kim Walker Owner and Marketing Director of Peak Automotive to Join the Advisory Panel of Ask Patty

Kim Walker, Owner and Marketing Director of Peak Automotive, will join Ask Patty as a member of the automotive advisory panel of industry-expert women on Ask Patty.Com, Inc.

Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) October 23, 2006 -- Ask Patty.Com, Inc., announced today that Kim Walker, Owner and Marketing Director of Peak Automotive, will join the automotive advisory panel of industry-expert women for their new woman’s portal, Ask Patty. The Ask Patty website at http://www.askpatty.com that launched June 8, 2006, provides a safe place for women to get advice on car purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics online.

Kim Walker and her husband, Brian, opened http://www.peakautomotive.com [Peak Automotive __title__ Peak Automotive] in 2002 as a small Mercedes-Benz automotive repair shop. After two years of growth, Kim started using her skills in listening to women to help market their business.

Treating customers in the most extraordinary way has taken them from simply being a repair shop to winning the distinction of “The Most Female Friendly Shop in the Triangle” (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill of North Carolina) and they were selected by Motor Age Magazine as one of the Top Ten Shops in America. Kim chose to market Peak Automotive as being female friendly. Peak employees learned that treating women with respect, honesty and understanding earned them lifelong customers.

Becoming a professional at marketing to women came as a fun, invigorating challenge to Kim. She has proven that listening, being observant and learning from others can take you from where you are to where you want to be. She involves herself in as many networking events as possible. With membership in Women Business Owners Network of Cary, Chix in Business, BNI, Cary and Apex Chambers of Commerce, as well as participating on committees for charities and other community organizations Kim stays very busy.

In addition to networking, Kim takes great pride in being involved daily with Peak Automotive’s customers. From hand written thank you notes, personal follow-up phone calls to every customer, to email newsletters and car care events, staying in touch with Peak’s customers is the most important responsibility of her job.

Kim has been nominated for the Triangle Business Journal’s Women in Business Award and the Triangle Business Journal’s 40 under 40 Award. Kim was selected to receive the Right Choice Business’s Frontrunner Award. Peak Automotive, an ASE Blue Seal of Excellence Recognized Shop and Bosch Authorized Service Center, has been profiled in Auto Inc. Magazine and by WorldPac’s client newsletter.

Kim attributes her success to her strong Christian faith and caring, supportive family. She and her husband, Brian, live in Holly Springs, North Carolina, with their 4-year-old son, Payton and 14-year-old niece, Kasie.

In her automotive advisory role, Ms. Walker will respond to questions from consumer women on automotive related topics via the website. The Ask Patty interactive advice blog launched May 22, 2006.

“Working with Ask Patty is a privilege that has allowed me to help women in a way that no other opportunity has allowed,” stated Kim Walker, Owner and Marketing Director of Peak Automotive. “Offering advice to women in an industry that is historically male dominant is something I consider a tremendous accomplishment. In addition, meeting and working with highly successful women in the automotive industry is a thrill. I am honored to be a part of the Ask Patty team!”

“We are truly excited to add Kim Walker to our Advisory Panel of Automotive Expert Women,” says Jody DeVere, President of Ask Patty. DeVere continues, “Kim has her finger on the pulse of the consumer woman and already has daily experience with helping women with their automotive-related concerns.” According to DeVere Ask Patty provides the safe environment for women to get advice and information needed to feel empowered and confident when they go to their local dealership for car service, repairs, maintenance and to negotiate and purchase a new or used vehicle.

Peter Martin, CEO of AskPatty.com adds, “Kim Walker and Peak Automotive are shining examples of what Ask Patty stands for. We truly believe in creating the best possible car buying and service experience for women and Kim exemplifies that belief.”
