Jeff Zisselman, Financial and Estate Planning Advisor, Joins Executive Committee at Not for Profit American Heart Association

Jeffrey Zisselman, local Santa Clara businessman at Thornhill Financial Corporation, joins executive committee at American Heart Association, Western States Affiliate. The American Heart Association's mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. AHA events raise crucial funds that support the life-saving research and educational programs run by the organization.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2006 -- Jeffrey N. Zisselman, is President and CEO at Thornhill Financial Corporation, a local Santa Clara wealth advisory firm which assists affluent clients in income tax and advanced estate planning issues. Jeffrey Zisselman knows how to help people with their finances and planning. Now Jeff is putting his money and his time where his heart is...The American Heart Association.

Jeffrey N. Zisselman knows all about health education and thought the AHA would be a perfect fit for his lifestyle. "I go out for about 5 runs per week, averaging anywhere between 5 to 10 miles. You can say I am overly conscious about my health," says Zisselman. "But the fact is that my career in financial advisory, income tax and estate planning don't really lend me the opportunity to help people on the health side. The AHA is giving me that chance to really complete my life objective."

I think that what they are doing is important in the world of health and fitness.
AHA events raise crucial funds that support the life-saving research and educational programs run by the organization. Community partners support the mission to reduce the effects of heart disease and stroke through their local sponsorship. Donations range from $3,000 to $75,000, made both by individuals and corporations.

The just turned 40 Zisselman is tall and lean. He has been a long distance runner for over 20 years and is in very good shape. "I just wanted to get involved with an organization that I believe can help as many people as possible in my community," says the good-hearted Jeff Zisselman. "Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in America. The AHA's educational programs are what attracted me the most. They are doing so much for the average American from California to New York. They are saving lives every day."

The American Heart Association was founded in 1924 in New York City by six cardiologists who recognized that there was a lack of education regarding heart disease. The early efforts of the American Heart Association to overcome that ignorance included enlisting help from hundreds, then thousands, of physicians and scientists.

Zisselman hails from New York, NY, and states he loves helping people. That's why as soon as he landed here in Northern California, he wanted to find an organization that complemented his lifestyle. With a legal and financial background, together with a healthy outlook on life, who would be better than Jeffrey N. Zisselman to work with the AHA.

The American Heart Association raises funds to assist with all of their programming. Two very popular events are their "Heart Walks" and "Hoops for Hearts" basketball games and tournaments. "Heart Walk" walking events are geared towards companies, and they build character, camaraderie and its fun. Basketball is for specific individuals but it really gets people out there because you have your players and your viewers all rooting for the same great cause -- heart disease prevention.

"But there is also a very serious side to my involvement with the AHA," says Zisselman sincerely. "I think that what they are doing is important in the world of health and fitness."

Zisselman adds, "I feel I bring a lot to the table considering my professional background, as well as my love for fitness and long distance running in particular. I think the AHA is doing a wonderful job and I am proud to be part of this very rewarding experience."
