Hot Christmas Toys of 2006: Chatterbean.com Voters Decide

Recent quiz results from Chatterbean.com show the TMX Elmo will be the hottest holiday toy of the 2006 season. Thirty-eight percent of quiz respondents believe the TMX Elmo will be the hottest items for toddlers, closely followed by the Kid Tough Digital Camera at 34 percent. Quiz respondents also think the Sony PlayStation III will outgun the Nintendo Wii this holiday season. Hot toys are just one issue related to the anticipated holiday frenzy. The Chatterbean.com holiday quiz, "Are You Set for the Holiday Hustle and Bustle?" (http://www.chatterbean.com/holidayquiz/) helps visitors consider how prepared they are for the potentially stressful season.

(PRWEB) December 8, 2006 -- Quiz respondents on Chatterbean.com -- an interactive quiz site on pop culture trends -- think the TMX Elmo will be the hottest toy of the 2006 holiday season, garnering 38 percent of responses (http://www.chatterbean.com). The second most popular holiday toy for 2006 is projected to be the Kid Tough Digital Camera at 34 percent.

The Chatterbean.com quiz results reflect the anticipation of a hot holiday toy season and other issues that come along during this potentially stressful season. The holiday quiz "Are You Set for the Holiday Hustle and Bustle?" (http://www.chatterbean.com/holidayquiz/) asks visitors about holiday traditions, social events, and gift giving. Quiz participants can see if they are ready for the toy-finding frenzy for holiday must-haves like the TMX Elmo.

"A decade ago, a little red guy laughed his way into the hearts and minds of the world, creating an unprecedented cultural phenomenon," Toy Wishes reports. "We need a good laugh again today, and the 10th Anniversary Tickle Me Elmo, a.k.a. T.M.X. Elmo, takes laughter to the extreme." This next generation Elmo is certain to be a hot Christmas toy of 2006.

Other hot holiday toy choices ranked respectively; the I-Dog and I-Cat (23 percent), and the Fur Real Friends Butterscotch Pony (5 percent). The I-Dog and I-Cat were the only holiday toys on the Chatterbean.com quiz not featured on this year's Toy Wishes "Hot Dozen."

Also among the "Hot Dozen" holiday toy list is the revolutionary video game console the Nintendo Wii. A Chatterbean.com quiz found that 76 percent of respondents think the Sony PlayStation III will be the hottest video game console of the season, compared to a 24 percent vote for the Wii. Granted, the Nintendo Wii will attract a younger audience than the PlayStation III and is much more affordable.

"When you think about 'hot' toys, no two kids are alike, so we always say, 'The hot toy is only hot if it's hot for your child,'" the annual "Hot Dozen" holiday toy list published by Toy Wishes reports.

Chatterbean.com attracts thousands of users every day to response-driven Web sites that cover trends in personal growth, fashion, food, music, parenting, home ownership, education and more. Chatterbean and its fun personality quizzes can be found at http://www.chatterbean.com.
