When community events like LEADeasy are directed toward helping our homeless children we all truly do make a difference in a precious child's life
"Every winter, thousands of families in the Twin Cities experience homelessness. LEADeasy is an opportunity for young people to make sure that some of these families stay warm in the cold weather," said Matt Hemsley, founder of The L.E.A.D. Project.

Designed to bring young leaders together in a spirit of philanthropy and volunteerism, The L.E.A.D. Project aims to raise funds and volunteer resources for People Serving People, a Minneapolis-based organization that empowers homeless children and their families to be self-sufficient, accountable, and responsible through housing and community services.

Over 400 young leaders will attend the event as well as special guests Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman. "It gives me optimism for the future to see this much talent and energy gathered together," said Senator Mark Dayton.

LEADeasy comes on the heels of The L.E.A.D. Project's extraordinarily successful inaugural benefit, Young & Bold. The event raised nearly $15,000 and several volunteers for Bolder Options, a charity that connects mentors with at-risk youth. With financial contributions from program sponsors Best Buy, C.H. Robinson, Target Corp., UnitedHealth Foundation, and U.S. Bank, as well as ticket proceeds, LEADeasy will raise over $20,000 for People Serving People.

"When community events like LEADeasy are directed toward helping our homeless children we all truly do make a difference in a precious child's life," said People Serving People CEO Jim Minor.
