Las Vegas-based DAV Productions Produces Event Honoring Mike Wallace at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

DAV Productions, a Las Vegas-based event solutions and audio, video and lighting production company, recently produced the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's presentation for Lifetime Achievement to journalist Mike Wallace, company officials announced.

Las Vegas (PRWEB) November 8, 2007 -- DAV Productions, a Las Vegas-based event solutions and audio, video and lighting production company, recently produced the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's presentation for Lifetime Achievement to journalist Mike Wallace, company officials announced.

The Illinois Prize for Lifetime Achievement was presented to Mr. Wallace by the Department of Journalism in the College of Communications and is the first award of its kind presented by the University. The ceremony was attended by 100 of Mr. Wallace's closest friends and family, including Walter Cronkite, Andy Rooney and Don Hewitt, the producer and co-founder of 60 Minutes.

DAV Productions was responsible for the event's production at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, including the lighting, audio and video portions of the event. The company had three U of I alums as part of the key staff, including Executive Producer Ben Brownback and Stage Manager Ryan Legue, both of whom are 1999 Graduates. Also in attendance representing DAV was Amy Quigg-Brownback, a 2000 Graduate of the College of Communications.

Mr. Wallace was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award and an undisclosed sum of money, which he immediately donated to the University's College of Communications.
