Writer, Director, Producer Mike Gunther Announces Exciting Slate of Projects
Indie Film ‘6th and Santa Fe’ & ‘Inside the Action’
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 6, 2007 -- Mike Gunther, one of the entertainment industry's elite stunt and action professionals for feature films and television, today announced that he has begun pre-production on his own independent feature film, ‘6th and Santa Fe’ and successfully delivered his fifth project, ‘Inside the Action,’ to MTV.
The heavily anticipated independent feature film ‘6th and Santa Fe,’ written by Gunther, revolves around three best friends that pull off a diamond heist that goes bad and them settling the score. ‘6th and Santa Fe’ stars Will Yun Lee (‘Fallen,’ ‘Elektra’) and will be directed and produced by Gunther under the umbrella of his production company, Gunny Entertainment. Mike Behrman will serve as Executive Producer. Shooting commences in early June in Los Angeles and the Mojave Desert.
‘Inside the Action’ takes viewers behind-the-scenes into the making of action sequences for some of today’s hottest films. The next installment of ‘Inside the Action’ will focus on the forthcoming blockbuster ‘Live Free or Die Hard’ starring Bruce Willis. ‘Inside the Action: Live Free or Die Hard’ will be the fifth project Gunther has delivered to MTV. Previous projects include movie promotion specials for ‘The Dukes of Hazzard’ (2005), ‘Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby’ (2006), ‘Underworld: Evolution’ (2006) and ‘Ghost Rider’ (2007) all of which opened up number one at the box office thanks in large part to the advance promotion of the MTV specials. ‘Inside the Action: Live Free or Die Hard’ will premiere on MTV in June.
Gunther, who is reinventing the ‘triple threat’ as an action writer, director and producer, is renowned for his expertise and experience in ‘all things action’ including key roles in the success of such blockbusters as ‘The Matrix Revolutions,’ ‘Elektra,’ ‘Underworld: Evolution,’ ‘Van Helsing,’ ‘xXx: State of the Union’ and in television with such acclaimed series as ‘Jericho,’ ‘Fallen,’ ‘Heroes’ and ‘Angel.’ A member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and Writers Guild of America (WGA), Gunther formed Gunny Entertainment in 2005 to offer the entertainment industry a one-stop-shop for action writing, directing and producing.

About Mike Gunther
Mike Gunther specializes in action. He is one of the industry's elite stunt coordinators having designed cutting-edge action for film and television productions. Now he is beginning to apply his expertise to more creative roles within the industry. In 2005 he formed Gunny Entertainment to foster this stage of his career and to develop his own projects.
In 1993 Mike got his start by transforming athletic talent into a career first performing, and then coordinating stunts. He earned a distinguished reputation, and in 2003 was inducted into Stunts Unlimited, the industry's premiere invitation-only guild.
