The period dinner recreates a meal that would have been served at an important function in the early 1800’s, with research done by Chef Agnes Bellet, longtime chef of Hotel Mazarin, where the dinner will be held. This five-course candlelight dinner, served with wine, will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 6:30 pm and is open to individual guests at a purchase price of $129 per person, inclusive of tax and gratuities. Throughout the U.S., groups are recreating events from the period of the War of 1812 as part of the Bicentennial celebrations.
