New Online Course Explores Mouse as Model for Prostate Cancer
Davis, CA (PRWEB) July 10, 2013 -- Coming soon! UC Davis Extension’s landmark online series, Pathobiology of the Mouse, which has received several national awards the past three years, will be adding a new course later this year— Mouse as a Model for Prostate Cancer. Dr. Robert D. Cardiff, M.D., Ph.D., UC Davis Distinguished Professor Emeritus and staff will continue to provide expertise through their developed content and facilitating in-depth, online discussion.
The Pathobiology of the Mouse program is comprised of two tiers: Tier I, for technicians and all who work with GEM, and Tier II, designed for matriculated students and Ph.D.s, M.D.s. Mouse as a Model for Prostate Cancer is the second course in Tier II.
Summer and fall courses, listed below, are open for enrollment at http://extension.ucdavis.edu:
Tier IA, Pathobiology of the Mouse: Enroll now through September 27. Students have 15 weeks to complete the course. $1,250 tuition/$1,000 for graduate students.
Tier IB, Pathobiology of the Mouse: Enroll now through September 27. $1,350 tuition/$1,080 for graduate students.
Tier II, Mouse as a Model for Mammary Gland Cancer: Enroll now through September 27. $2,295 tuition/$1,836 for graduate students
Other courses in development for Tier II include toxicological pathology, leukemia, lymphoma and more.
Mouse Pathobiology Training Modules are now available. These short, self-paced modules were created from content in the landmark courses Pathobiology of the Mouse, Tiers IA and IB, and take between 3-8 hours each to complete. These modules may be taken to satisfy Continuing Medical Education credits.
