Banks Lyon Jewellers Announce Bremont ‘Codebreaker’ Available In Store, Strengthens Relationship With British Watchmaker
(PRWEB UK) 16 July 2013 -- Lancaster watch and jewellery experts Banks Lyon Jewellers are proud to announce that they will be one of only a handful of authorised outlets worldwide to stock the limited edition Bremont ‘Codebreaker’ watch. Customers will be able to make enquiries through their website at http://www.bankslyon.co.uk/limited-edition-bremont-codebreaker-watch, or personally in store.
Banks Lyon Jewellers have strengthened their ties with luxury British watchmaker Bremont after agreeing a deal that will see Bremont’s newest watch, the Codebreaker, available exclusively in Lancashire & Cumbria at their Lancaster store. Bremont are only producing a total of 290 Codebreaker watches, with 50 of those sporting an 18ct rose gold case, the remainder in hardened stainless steel. The name Codebreaker comes from the British World War Two cryptography and decryption site Bletchley Park, and has been produced in partnership with the Bletchley Park Trust. The Codebreaker uniquely incorporates artefacts from the Park in its design, including pine from hut six where Alan Turing broke the Enigma code, the buildings and paper from the extremely rare remaining punch cards used to analyse the vast amount of coded data. This paper will be encased in sapphire crystal on the barrel and will identify the number of each individual watch.
Speaking on the Codebreaker, Rodney Banks-Lyon, owner of Banks Lyon, said: ‘We are extremely proud to be able to offer the Bremont Codebreaker to our customers. This watch upholds all of Bremont’s founding qualities and celebrates the lives of those who worked tirelessly at Bletchley Park throughout the Second World War and in the words of General Eisenhower cut the war short by as much as two years, saving potentially twenty million lives. The Codebreaker is a testament to the enduring and timeless craftsmanship of Bremont and the endeavours of the men and women of Bletchley, and here at Banks Lyon we are honoured to play a vital part in keeping their actions alive. The Codebreaker is a piece of living history that embodies the indefatigable spirit of all those who fought for a better future for this country and the world.’
