Premium Vinyl Labels for All Marking Needs Is Now Offered through Labeltac.com
Lake Oswego, OR (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has identified specific “safety” colors for industry. These colors mark equipment, have specific meanings and uses, and mark safety signs in specific configurations. Labeltac.com is now offering premium vinyl labels that will assure businesses are in compliance with both ANSI and OSHA marking color requirements for creating safety in the work environment.
The labels are engineered from extremely high-grade vinyl and are designed to last 5 or more years in outdoor applications, and even longer for indoor use. The adhesive back is very strong, but won’t leave a residue when removed. The labels come in 150’ rolls in widths of ½ inch to 4 inches and are available in 16 vibrant colors and also clear. Professional looking labels can be printed from LabelTac 4 or LabelTac 4 PRO printers quickly and easily. A business owner commented, “We are very happy with the label quality and variety of colors to choose from to make our facility a safer place.”
OSHA, the regulatory agency for workplace safety, had designated what color various equipment and signage should be marked for universal and easy identification and warnings. Industries recognize red to denote danger, stop, firefighting or fire protection equipment. Hazardous liquids are stored in red marked containers and anything related to fire protection such as extinguishers, sprinklers, hoses, alarms, and more must be color coded red.
Yellow is used to indicate caution. Low beams, overhead fixtures, steps, and objects that protrude are labeled with yellow. Orange is used to warn of dangerous parts of machinery that could cause injury. Blue is used when caution is needed before starting up or moving repair equipment. Green identifies first aid equipment or any type of safety equipment. Purple will be used where there may be radiation hazard present. And black and white signals it is a traffic area, such as stairways, and will give directional guidance.
