New York, NY (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Phillips Nizer LLP has elected Brian J. Beller and Carl D. LeSueur to the position of counsel in the Real Estate Law and Litigation Departments. Both were previously associates. Mr. Beller, who practices in commercial and residential transactions, joined the firm in 2007. Mr. LeSueur joined the firm, together with partner David A. Pellegrino, in 2011.

Mr. Beller’s practice involves the representation of owners, operators, developers and lenders in the acquisition, development, disposition, finance and leasing of real estate assets. A significant portion of his practice focuses on negotiating and drafting office and retail leases and subleases on behalf of landlords and tenants, in New York City and nationwide. Additionally, Mr. Beller assists non-U.S. residents acquiring premier residences in New York City. Mr. Beller earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve School of Law in 2004, and his undergraduate degree in finance with a concentration in real estate in 2001 from Indiana University. Mr. Beller is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Mr. LeSueur’s complex commercial litigation practice includes disputes involving real estate sales, company sales, partnership agreements, promissory notes, letters of credit, condominium and co-operative conversions and developments, and foreclosures of mortgage liens and UCC liens. He has also handled claims of fraud, antitrust, trademark and copyright infringement, breach of publicity rights, and defamation. Mr. LeSueur earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago in 2004 and his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2000. He is admitted to practice in New York and California, and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
