New Study Links New Oral Anticoagulants (incl. Pradaxa) to Increased Risk of Gastrointestinal Bleeding: Now, AttorneyOne Can Provide Advice for Legal Counsel
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Pradaxa lawsuits and potential Pradaxa Recall lawsuit.
A new study, published in the July issue of Gastroenterology, revealed that new oral anticoagulants (incl. Pradaxa) increase the risk for gastrointestinal bleeding. Pradaxa (dabigatran etexilate), manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, is a new oral anticoagulant mainly used as a blood thinner for patients who are at risk for stroke or atrial fibrillation.
Another study, presented* on July 1 at the 2013 Congress of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis meeting, revealed that Pradaxa is associated with an increased heart attack risk.
According to court documents, on May 30, a Connecticut woman filed a wrongful death lawsuit in Illinois Southern District Court (case no. 3:2013cv50707) alleging that her husband suffered an intracranial hemorrhage from Pradaxa and died.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Pradaxa severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations at AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Pradaxa lawsuits. "For that reason," he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
Court documents indicate that the first bellwether trial in the Pradaxa Multidistrict Litigation (MDL) has been scheduled for August 2014. More than 1,133 lawsuits are currently pending in the Pradaxa MDL (No. 2385, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois).
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Pradaxa lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
