The event provides students that are planning to attend college an opportunity to learn more about colleges in the United States and other countries.
The number of international students at colleges and universities in the United States increased by six percent to a record high of 764,495 in the 2011-2012 academic year, according to the 2012 Open Doors Report by the International Educational Exchange. Several live video presentations are available during the full day virtual event. Educational advisors from Education USA, a network of advising centers in 170 countries within Education and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, will lead several presentations.
