Inaugural Site Prep Tech Conference Educates Contractors on Construction Technology
Troy, MI (PRWEB) August 19, 2013 -- The competitive landscape for site prep contractors is changing as a result of new construction technology. Site Prep magazine is launching an intensive two-day educational construction conference to help its readers learn about best practices for implementing new technology in the field. The Site Prep Tech conference will be held in Atlanta on Nov. 6-7.
“The barriers to implementing new site prep technology can only be overcome with education,” said Group Editor Karen Scally. “At Site Prep Tech, contractors will learn from the industry’s most knowledgeable professionals who will share a wealth of jobsite experience.”
A maximum enrollment of 120 attendees will ensure an interactive learning environment. In addition, there will be a full six hours of networking time where contractors can connect with their peers as well as representatives from sponsoring partners.
Educational sessions will cover telematics, machine control, data prep, jobsite connectivity, civil integrated management (CIM), estimating and bidding, intelligent jobsites, social media and the legal challenges of telematics. Hands-on operating time with Komatsu’s D61i-23 dozer with fully automated blade control will enable attendees to see and experience the latest advances in machine control firsthand. A complete agenda and speaker bios are available online at http://www.sitepreptech.com.
Site Prep Tech is supported by founding partners Komatsu, Topcon and Trimble; technology partner Leica Geosystems and exhibitor LandMarker Geospatial. Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available.
“The Site Prep Tech conference provides a neutral environment where contractors, engineers and other construction professionals can be comfortable learning about new technology,” said Mike Porcaro, executive director of Site Prep Tech. “Case studies, panel discussions and demonstrations will help site prep contractors shorten their learning curve with new technology.”
The cost to attend the conference is $395 if registering before Oct. 8 ($495 after that date). To register or for more information, visit http://www.sitepreptech.com. To learn about exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities, call Michelle Lorusso at 770-932-0041.
