Long Island Screen Printing Company, East End Screen Printing, Congratulates Winners University of Hawaii T-Shirt Design Contest
Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) August 22, 2013 -- On August 22, Bruce Graham, owner of East End Screen Printing, a Long Island screen printing company, responds to an article published on the University of Hawaii’s website that details the results of a recent T-shirt design contest held at the University earlier this year.
According to the article published on Hawaii.edu on August 12 titled “Students’ T-shirt designs to be featured at UH Bookstores and Rainbowtique,” the University of Hawaii recently held a t-shirt design contest wherein the winners will have their designs featured in a new line of shirts at the university store.
The Hi Pride Design Contest, held last spring, allowed University of Hawaii students to participate in a school-wide contest to get their shirt design featured in book stores across campus. The contest only had one rule: design a shirt that best exemplifies Hawaiian pride.
Bruce Graham, owner of Long Island screen printing company, East End Screen Printing, says t-shirts offer a fantastic way to show support for a school. “I love these types of contests,” he says. “They offer students the chance to not only show their love for their school, but an opportunity to highlight their artistic abilities to thousands of their peers.”
The Hi Pride contest is held each year always resulting in two winners. All proceeds from the shirts go “to support the University of Hawai’i in its educational mission.”
Bruce Graham says the clothing people wear shows a lot about what they like and who they are. “T-shirts like the one’s featured in this contest really are simply a manner of expression,” he says. “The shirts show the pride and love these students have for their University and the island of Hawaii.”
