(PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- On Monday, August 12th 2013 The Gardens Ice House, located in Laurel, Maryland broke ground on a new outdoor rink. Named in honor of Whitey Guenin, Whitey's pond will be open from November to March every year. This unique outdoor "mini" rink is 90 ft x 44ft and features a glycol system from Everything Ice (http://www.everything-ice.com). The rink will also have its own conditioner and Zamboni, so ice quality should be top of the line. We have broken ground and our grand opening will be Friday, November 1st 2013. Whitey's pond will be the epicenter for 3 on 3 adult hockey. We will also hold clinics, public sessions and youth hockey games outdoors. Host private parties or birthday celebrations on Whitey's Pond. This unique one of a kind rink will play host to a variety of programming.
