Farlaine the Goblin, an All-Ages Comic Book Fairy Tale, Bubbles Its Way into Comic Shops Today
Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- The breathtaking new comic book series Farlaine the Goblin (http://www.farlaine.com) debuts today at comic shops across the country with a 50-page romp through The Tinklands.
The fairy tale series follows Farlaine (pronounced Far-Lin), a tree goblin shaman who has long been searching for a forest to call his own. He carries with him his only friend, Ehrenwort, a magical tree that forms a distant link back to the forest he was born in.
Farlaine is not your typical heroic figure though, pudgy and friendly, with a desire only to find his place in the world.
The book picks up with Farlaine having left the still-burning Tinderlands behind him, another failed notch in his travels, and a sudden realization that after years of searching and hundreds of lands(such as the Canyonlands, the Wuglands, the Butterlands, the Goldlands, and the Yodellands), he is down to the final 10 he has left to explore.
So with the end in sight, it’s time to become a little more risk-venturous.
Each issue takes Farlaine on an adventure through a new land as he tries to find a forest in need of a shaman.
The second issue, Farlaine in the Saltlands, will be released in October. The third issue, Farlaine in the Racelands, will be released in December.
The book is priced at $5 and for that you’re getting your money’s worth. The comic is 50 pages long and offers up a great complete story for you to read. Start, Finish, Enjoyment.
And the book is made to be held in the physical world. It’s a fun horizontal format perfect bound beauty with a 7” x 11” size, dipped in glossy with a super-slick cardstock cover. You won’t see another comic like it on the rack.
Farlaine the Goblin is presented as an ode to classic 60s comics such as Carl Barks’ Donald Duck and Albert Uderzo’s Asterix, with a touch of Jeff Smith's Bone mixed in.
Copies of Farlaine the Goblin #1 are available at comic book shops across the country or through http://www.farlaine.com for the cover price of $5.
(If your local comic shop does not carry Farlaine the Goblin, berate them and ask them to stock it!)
