My goal is to help women with PCOS reclaim their fertility, femininity, health and happiness. PCOS Diva is a positive place for women with PCOS where they no longer have to let PCOS rule or ruin their lives. PCOS is the leading cause of infertility in women, and is estimated to affect more than 10% of women worldwide. If left unchecked, it can lead a great risk of chronic illness like diabetes and heart disease.
The mission of the PCOS Foundation is to spread knowledge and understanding of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. PCOS is difficult for most doctors to recognize and diagnose because it can cause a variety of seemingly unrelated symptoms. For this reason, less than half of PCOS sufferers have been diagnosed. Many of the women and girls who are diagnosed do not receive enough medical education about treatment and maintenance for their PCOS. When PCOS is not treated and maintained, symptoms worsen and the risk of developing life-threatening diseases increases dramatically.
