SunRiver Announces First Annual Fall Festival
St. George, UT (PRWEB) September 13, 2013 -- Following its landmark 15th Anniversary Celebration in May, SunRiver St. George is pleased to announce the beginning of a new tradition – SunRiver’s First Annual Fall Festival will take place from Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4, 2013 in the SunRiver community. The festival immediately precedes the 2013 World Senior Games held each year in SunRiver and at other venues throughout St. George. Event registration is available online at http://www.sunrivertoday.com.
With a multitude of activities and events - including a Powered Parachute competition - taking place throughout the week, the festival will culminate in Friday’s Sky Tournament Grand Finale air show. The festival events highlight the healthy, active lifestyle of today’s 55+ adults, typified by residents of SunRiver St. George, Utah’s only master-planned active adult golf course community.
“This year’s festival features our first powered parachute fly-in and competition,” said Darcy Stewart, managing partner at SunRiver St. George. “The tournament will give the public a chance to witness firsthand these fantastic air machines and their pilots every day as they compete against each other to make it to the final round on Friday.”
In addition to the parachuting attractions, the festival will also host tennis, golf and pickleball clinics; a golf tournament with PGA pro Neil Economy; aerodynamics information workshops presented by powered parachute aviators; live music, nightly dinner events and more.
Throughout the week, guests will be entertained by an array of musical artists including the TaikoProject (from NBC’s “The Voice”), and Las Vegas’ favorite entertainment duo Barbra and Frank for 'The Concert That Never Was' (starring impersonators Sharon Owens and Sebastian Anzaldo)!
“The Fall Festival will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the start of the season and show the region what the active lifestyle of SunRiver is all about,” said Stewart. “It’s a tradition we hope to continue every year for SunRiver, the St. George community and the entire region.”
