Integrative Nutrition Announces New Graduate Degree Partnership with Goddard College
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the world’s largest nutrition school, is proud to announce that it has extended its partnership with Goddard College. Graduates of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach Training Program are now eligible to apply for Goddard’s 36-credit accelerated study program and receive a Masters of Arts in Health Arts and Sciences in just three semesters.
“I am so pleased to extend our relationship with Goddard College,” said Integrative Nutrition Founder, Director, and Primary Teacher Joshua Rosenthal, MScEd. “Goddard’s internationally recognized low-residency programs give the Integrative Nutrition community the opportunity to pursue quality higher education from the flexibility of their own homes and at a fraction of the cost of other universities. This Master’s degree option is a wonderful extension of the undergraduate degree partnership we already have with Goddard, and I encourage all students and alumni to explore this amazing opportunity.”
In October 2012, Integrative Nutrition and Goddard College first forged a partnership that made graduates of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach Training Program and second-year Immersion Program eligible to earn up to 40 credits in transfer towards a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) at Goddard College. Integrative Nutrition graduates can now also apply for acceptance to earn a Masters of Arts in Education and Licensure, Health Arts and Sciences, Individualized Studies, or Psychology and Counseling.
“We at Goddard College are thrilled with this new partnership,” said Goddard Partnership Manager and Admissions Counselor Heather Labor. “Though a Masters of Arts typically takes four semesters, we introduced this accelerated program for healthcare professionals who have already conducted the exploratory work of a first semester student. We’ve been so impressed by the caliber and breadth of the Health Coach Training Program, so it was a natural choice to make the option available for Integrative Nutrition graduates who work as health coaches.”
This new opportunity complements Integrative Nutrition’s other academic affiliations with California State University Long Beach and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Purchase College, which allow Integrative Nutrition graduates to receive 43 continuing education units and earn a certificate degree. Graduates of the Health Coach Training Program and the Immersion Program can also receive up to 40 college credits through the National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS).
“It is our top priority to empower students and graduates with professional and academic opportunities and extending our partnership with a well-respected institution like Goddard does just this,” said Integrative Nutrition President Michael Iacona. “I’m thrilled that through this partnership, Integrative Nutrition students now have another avenue to grow both professionally and personally.”
