EAM-Mosca Introduces New Hybrid Stainless Steel Strapping Solution for Meat & Poultry Markets
Hazle Township, PA (PRWEB) January 11, 2014 -- EAM-Mosca is pleased to introduce the ROMP6-VA Hybrid operator-cycled strapping machine, designed primarily for high-volume poultry and meat processors, or for use in wet, harsh environments. The new model features a standard, powder-coated cabinet base with corrosion resistant stainless steel at the table-top level and above. The machine was developed to provide a base level of corrosion resistance to cost conscious processors and will be introduced at the IPPE Poultry Exhibit in Atlanta, Georgia on January 28.
In addition to using stainless steel and corrosion resistant materials for the table and other workings in the product travel path, the ROMP6-VA Hybrid features Mosca’s latest industry leading strapping technology, including the proprietary Sonixs ultrasonic sealer.
The ROMP-6 Series products are built around a unified strap path designed to provide superior feed reliability. From the coil dispenser through feed completion, the strap is closely controlled. The strap path is built in a precision fixture and the supporting structure is built around it, a process much different than the usual ground-up construction practice. The knife, grippers and strap sealing devices are lever-actuated using sealed bearings that are largely unaffected by dust and dirt. Strap drives and sealing cycle are powered by DC brushless direct drives, minimizing mechanical complexity, reducing part counts and extending service life.
The machine offers the option of temperature controlled heat seal or Mosca Sonixs ultrasonic seal. Both systems offer consistent sealing in any environment. Sonixs offers the added advantages of fewer moving parts, smokeless sealing and power draw for only a few milliseconds during the sealing cycle.
The combination of precise construction, dust resistance and DC brushless direct drives provide highly reliable operation and a long service interval. In addition routine servicing and cleaning is simplified by tool-less disassembly and reassembly of the strap guides between the dispenser and sealing head.
The ROMP6-VA Hybrid blends Mosca’s latest and best technology with corrosion resistance in the critical product contact area, while maintaining a competitive price. The ROMP6-VA Hybrid deserves a careful review by the budget minded but performance conscious strapping system buyer in 2014.
