Pinellas REALTOR® Organization (PRO) Announces Strategic Partnership with Tech Start-Up SavvyCard®
St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) January 13, 2014 -- The Pinellas REALTOR® Organization (PRO) has inked a deal with St. Petersburg-based technology startup SavvyCard® to provide mobile marketing, networking, and directory tools to PRO, its 5,500 REALTOR® members, and 550 Affiliate Business Partner members. PRO becomes the second largest professional organization to provide SavvyCard® services to its members, following a similar agreement with the MIAMI® Association of REALTORS® in September. “We're excited to offer this tool to help our members promote themselves, increase referrals, and present themselves professionally on mobile devices.” says David Bennett, CEO of PRO. “SavvyCard® is going to change the way business networking is done.”
SavvyCard® will provide each PRO member with a mobile web application with built-in social sharing functions. SavvyCard® is sometimes described as a ‘digital business card,’ but its customizable design and flexible functionality makes the platform more powerful. For instance, PRO members will also be able to generate SavvyCards featuring individual properties – also with sharing features – so home sellers and listing agents can easily “crowd-market” homes through social media.
SavvyCards for PRO REALTORS® will include a “Listings” button that allows homebuyers to search the Multiple Listings Service (MLS). This means buyers can find homes on their smartphones and contact their REALTOR® about the property with a touch of a button. This synergy led Bennett to refer to SavvyCard® as a “killer application” for lead generation and networking for REALTORS®. “We’re very excited about PRO’s level of commitment to the partnership,” says SavvyCard® CEO David Etheredge. “Our organizations have been actively working together to ensure we provide PRO members with the education and support required to make this program a success for everyone involved.”
The deal represents another milestone for SavvyCard®, which began active sales in the real estate market in September of 2013 and is in the process of closing its second funding round. “PRO is a large market segment for us, and it provides further proof that there is a market for SavvyCard® in the Real Estate space,” says SavvyCard® VP of Sales Jon Marshall. “We’re also excited to be working with PRO because of their strong Affiliate Program. SavvyCard® will make it easy for REALTORS® to conveniently refer PRO’s Affiliates to their clients for home service needs.” PRO’s Affiliate Business Partners, such as roofers, lenders, and other real estate-related service providers, will also receive SavvyCards and can opt to be included in a mobile home services SavvyDirectory™.
“We know mobile search is where business is heading these days, and we were actively looking for a mobile directory solution. SavvyCard® came along at exactly the right time,” says John-Paul Mario, Chair of PRO’s Affiliate Business Partners. In addition to SavvyCards making it easy for clients to stay in contact with – and refer – their REALTORS®, the home services directory will be accessible directly from every PRO member’s SavvyCard®, putting new homeowners in easy touch with any service provider they need. “Homebuyers and new homeowners are always on the go. SavvyCard® is going to help us connect with them where and when they need us,” said Mario.
