American University Announces Online Master of Science in Nutrition Education
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- American University announced today their Master of Science (MS) in Nutrition Education, is now available online. The MS in Nutrition Education, starting in May 2014, provides candidates with more focused theoretical and practical training in the field of nutrition. The two-year online program is aligned with established standards of the Certification Board for Nutrition Specialists and affords the opportunity to apply for certification as a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) with additional science coursework and field experience.
Through a rigorous curriculum consisting of 24 core credit hours and six elective hours, graduates are able to develop programming and intervention skills related to nutrition and learn to design and implement nutrition education programs in corporations, government organizations, schools and universities. The program provides an education that balances scientific principles of nutrition with education and program planning for improved nutrition behavior.
