Alliance Commercial Pest Control, Inc. Launches Web-Based Pest Sighting Portal

“The Pest Control Log Book is the most comprehensive record of pest management service provided by the pest control industry,” said R. Brett Madden, Esq., spokesman for Alliance Commercial Pest Control. “We used to have an on-site notebook at each customer location, but with this new portal, customers can login our website and enter any issues that they see, and an Alliance tech will respond.”
Madden explained that The Log Book is a critical component to any pest control program.
“Generally, the Log Book is often underutilized by both the pest management company and the customer,” Madded pointed out, before adding, “Either the Log Book is missing, the individual who wants to report a pest sighting is unaware of the Log Book’s existence and on and on.”
Madden went on to question ‘What good is the information in a Log Book if the correct person does not receive the information in a timely fashion, or even at all?’”
In a majority of accounts, according to Madden, the service technician enters an account and attempts to find the Log Book. If there are any entries, the service technician would then first address that specific pest problem. If there were no entries, the service technician would go about their normal service.
The problem with this type of system, Madden stressed, is that in most cases, the service manager or sales representative never gets notified about what is contained in the Log Book until in most cases it’s too late.
“That is why Servicer Viewer was created,” Madden said. “The industry was lacking a solution to hold both the pest management company and the customer accountable for proper Log Book usage.”
Alliance Commercial Pest Control’s newly launched Log Book empowers users with a web-based portal, which allows them to enter log entries of pest sighting.
It addresses three areas. The first area is: Inefficient Use of Time.
“If an account is having a non-typical pest problem, the service technician that is routed to perform the service may, or may not have the appropriate training to handle the reported pest problem,” Madden said. “This now means that the office has to send another service technician out to perform the service. The stop value is cut in half and this is an inefficient use of time.”
The second area it addressed is: Corrective Action.
“With our Auto Alert feature, as soon as the entry is made and the send button is hit, you will instantly be notified of the entry,” Madden noted. “Now instead of waiting until the next service to find out about a pest problem, you can take quicker corrective action, which allows you to better serve your clients’ facility.”
The third area it addresses is: Up Sales.
“At times, certain pests may or may not be within the scope of a contract,” Madden said. “Now, you have the ability to up-sell additional services that you may not have been aware of before because the correct people are getting the actual data of what is going on in a facility.”
