Rosie O’Donnell has taken her career from stand-up comedy, to television, to hosting her own TV show. In the 1990’s, O’Donnell built her film career by performing roles in comedy films such as A League of Their Own and Sleepless in Seattle. In 1996, she hosted the Rosie O’Donnell Show and won multiple Emmy awards. Since then, O’Donnell remains a popular pop icon and continues to entertain in comedy clubs around the nation.
The comedian gained substantial media when she came out into the lesbian community. To this day, O’Donnell remains a LGBT rights activist and supports many causes and issues in the community. In 2006, O’Donnell joined The View and became known for her strong opinions on subjects such as the Bush Administration and Iraq War.
O’Donnell puts her own beliefs and experiences into her stand up shows, which makes for honest and funny entertainment. Zanies will host O’Donnell for three nights as a special engagement show.
