Winspire Helps Charleston Nonprofit Gross Over $480,000 with Exclusive Trips at Charity Auction Dinner Gala
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 -- Over 600 people attended the 11th Annual "A Night In The Valley" Wine Dinner and Auction on January 31, 2014 in support of the Trident Technical College Foundation, which provides student scholarships and educational resources for thousands of students in South Carolina. The gala and auction grossed over $480,000 and raised more than $375,000 through ticket sales, sponsorships and auction item sales, making it the foundation's most successful event ever. The annual event was also the kick-off of the college's 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The live and silent auctions incorporated six unique Experiences from Winspire, which were sold a total of twelve times during the event. Winning bidders of these Experiences spent a total of $70,000 on the trips, which helped raise over $31,000 for the cause.
"We sold several of the experiences multiple times again this year! The Napa Valley Epicurean Adventure was extremely popular and sold FOUR times to end our auction!" explains Abby Parks, the Development Events Coordinator for Trident. "Our attendees were excited to have the Classic Wrigley Field Rooftop Experience featured again this year, and one couple bought it for a second time. There were definitely 'good ole fashioned' bidding wars taking place!"
Abby continues, "We enjoy including the Winspire Experiences in our live auction for a several reasons: it greatly enhances our auction with unique experiences, allows us to sell them multiple times which generates more income, and helps free up our staff to focus on selling more sponsorships and creating our own unique packages."
