American College of Education Partners with G.O.A.L. Academy
Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) May 05, 2014 -- American College of Education announces its partnership with G.O.A.L. Academy, Colorado’s premier blended learning high school. Information sessions for the academy’s teachers are being held this week.
“American College of Education is excited to partner with G.O.A.L. Academy to provide accessible and relevant degree programs, aligned to the needs and objectives of the academy,” said College Interim President and Provost Shawntel Landry. “We seek to work with innovative schools and districts, especially those with leaders and teachers who are visionaries. The G.O.A.L. administration understands that great teachers can empower their students to be competent, confident and successful.”
The partnership enables all G.O.A.L. staff members to pursue a Master of Education in Educational Leadership or a Doctor of Education in Leadership with an emphasis in Educational and Community Organizations. In turn, G.O.A.L. Academy is investing in its teachers through their participation in the college’s programs. The academy also will pay part of the tuition for each teacher. “These degrees will allow our staff to take their daily work and expand those efforts into higher education degrees,” said Kenneth Crowell, CEO and co-founder of G.O.A.L. Academy. “I want to thank American College of Education for their commitment in recognizing our employee’s talent by aligning these college degrees with G.O.A.L. philosophies and working knowledge.”
“We recognized the academy’s focus on not only the student’s academic success, but also their need to instill volunteerism and community involvement in their students helping transform society and social change,” commented Landry. “This knowledge helped us determine which programs to offer as well as tailor our degrees to their staff as a group.”
Through this partnership, G.O.A.L. Academy staff is able to enter American College of Education’s programs together and collaborate as a group. “The academy participants will have a unique opportunity to work as a cohort focusing on the academy’s specific research needs with the college’s faculty support and guidance,” added Landry.

The college offers Master of Education degree programs for teachers and other educators in addition to certificates, paths to licensure and doctoral level programs.
