Kultur Announces Launch of Cultural SVOD Channel at 67th Festival de Cannes This Week
Cannes, France (PRWEB) May 17, 2014 -- US-based cultural programming producer and publisher Kultur announced that it will launch a new SVOD (streaming video on demand) channel, Kultur.com on Friday May 16th, 2014 and will be sponsoring the reception party at the Plage Royale for Spandau Ballet’s European Debut of “Soul Boys of the Western World.” Kultur.com will be a subscription-based service offering cultural content streaming to your TV and mobile devices. Kultur is attending the Marché du Film to acquire foreign movies and documentary films for the their content lineup.
CEO Thomas Buchar says, “Kultur will provide subscribers with the best alternative to reality shows and current television programming. We like to call it ‘Digital Nutrition for your Brain.’ There was a need for a channel with curated cultural content where online viewers could come to consume astute content all in one place. Cannes could not be a better place to launch our broadband channel and we are delighted to align ourselves with the elegant and timeless Spandau Ballet.”
Building on Kultur’s 30 year legacy as the premier provider of cultural and educational content, its new mission is to shake up the way thought provoking content is consumed. Upon the US launch of its streaming service, it will offer viewers thousands of hours of concerts, documentary films, classical music, dance, and opera on an unlimited basis by monthly subscription. It will be the one-stop curated destination for the cultural arts online.
“By striking partnerships with well-respected brands such as the APT, ITV, Eagle Rock Entertainment, Warner Classics, the Royal Opera House and Riverdance, Kultur is ensuring its domination in the market of cultural content,” adds Buchar.
