Polysciences, Inc. Appoints Scott Knorr to Director, Lab Products Bulk & Synthesis
Warrington, PA (PRWEB) May 20, 2014 -- Polysciences, Inc., an award-winning company specializing in the development and manufacture of high purity chemicals and reagents for laboratory research, histology, healthcare diagnostics and biomedical applications, has named Scott Knorr as Director of Lab Products Bulk & Synthesis. In this newly created position, Knorr will be responsible for executing market development, sales and new business plans for the company’s Lab Products division.
Knorr will join Dr. Joel Coret, Polysciences' CTO, and his team in the on-going development of novel monomers, polymers, and fine chemicals used in diverse biomedical applications, such as ophthalmic lenses and drug delivery devices, as well as specialty industrial applications. Knorr brings a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years of experience in the chemical industry, focused on commercializing innovative, high-value, custom components for medical, pharmaceutical and specialty industrial applications.

Prior to joining Polysciences, Knorr held key positions with Adhesives Research, Inc. (Glen Rock, PA), overseeing the company’s global business activities as a component supplier to the medical device, diagnostic and wound care industries. Knorr received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University (State College, PA) and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business (College Park, MD).
