Gilbane Building Company Wins Engineering News Record’s 2014 Contractor of the Year Award for the Tri-State Area
New York, New York (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- Gilbane Building Company today announced the company has been named “2014 Contractor of the Year” by Engineering News-Record (ENR) New York, a leading publication for the engineering and construction industry. The company was ranked 14th in ENR’s National Top 400 Contractors list in 2014, up from 21st the previous year. In the tri-state area, ENR NY ranked Gilbane 6th among the area’s top contractors this year.

Carter Specialty Hospital & Nursing Facility in East Harlem, which was completed last year. Gilbane was also one of six construction firms selected to manage construction under New York City’s Rapid Repairs Program, which was created in the wake of Superstorm Sandy to make homes quickly habitable again by restoring basic utilities.
