Arianna Huffington Joins Integrative Nutrition as a Guest Speaker
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the world’s largest nutrition school, is pleased to announce that Arianna Huffington has joined as a guest speaker and is now featured in the curriculum of the Health Coach Training Program.
Arianna Huffington is the chair, president, and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, a world-renowned news and blogging site that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2012 for national reporting. Huffington is the author of fourteen books and was included on the Forbes “Most Powerful Women” list of 2013. In 2006 and 2011, she was named by Time as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.
“I am thrilled to join Integrative Nutrition as a guest speaker,” said Huffington. “My journey with wellness began in 2007 when I had my own personal wake-up call. I was working eighteen hours a day when I found myself on the floor in a pool of blood—I had collapsed from exhaustion, breaking my cheekbone and cutting my eye. I learned that prioritizing my well-being above overwork and stress is critical to having a truly successful life. Joshua Rosenthal shares my passion for slowing down, sleep, meditation, and mindfulness, and Integrative Nutrition gives its students amazing tools to improve their well-being and thrive in their day-to-day lives.”
Integrative Nutrition’s flagship course trains students to become Health Coaches, wellness mentors who work with clients to help them achieve their personal health goals. The curriculum combines holistic nutrition education, business training, and self-improvement philosophy and gives students the tools to begin building their new careers while still in school. As a guest speaker at Integrative Nutrition, Huffington elaborates on the philosophy discussed in her latest book Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder.
“I am extremely proud to welcome Arianna Huffington to the Integrative Nutrition community,” said Joshua Rosenthal, Integrative Nutrition’s Founder, Director, and Primary Teacher. “We’re constantly striving to provide our students with the best possible education and Ms. Huffington is such an inspirational figure. Her emphasis on the importance of self-care illustrates a core principle of Integrative Nutrition’s curriculum, primary food—healthy relationships, regular physical activity, a fulfilling career, and a spiritual practice are just as important to your health as the food on your plate. With this amazing new guest speaker, I hope students are empowered to find the balance in their lives that they need to thrive.”
