Bright Kids Chicago's Selective Enrollment Bootcamps are Now Open for Registration
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 03, 2014 -- All students deserve the right to develop according to their abilities and Chicago Public Schools’ Selective Enrollment programs were built on that principle. Selective Enrollment Schools offer curricula that are specifically designed to meet the needs of academically advanced students across Chicago. Each year families gear up for these exams to be eligible for placement into Chicago’s top public schools. The Regional Gifted Centers provide an accelerated instructional program and the Classical Schools lend a challenging liberals arts course. Last year Bright Kids Chicago had a great testing year and is pleased to announce that the 2014 Selective Enrollment Bootcamps are now open.
"Our Selective Enrollment Bootcamps are our most popular programs. We've found that students gain confidence and mastery from working through the material on these tests in a one-on-one environment with State Certified teachers. Many of our students last year scored in the top percentiles on their exams and got into their top choice of schools after prepping with us, and we hope to help even more families achieve their educational goals this year."- Dave Maher, Account Manager. The Bright Kids Selective Enrollment 1-on-1 Bootcamps are budget-friendly packages designed to prepare students for the upcoming Regional Gifted Center Test and the Classical Test. Families can choose between our Classical School 1-on-1 Bootcamp, Regional Gifted Centers 1-on-1 Bootcamp or a combo of both if they buy the 12 and 10-session packages. The bundle packages offer up to a 30% discount compared to purchasing each service and publication separately. The programs include many of our proven test preparation books and individualized support within a structured environment.
The Regional Gifted Center Test is for admission into Regional Gifted Centers and Regional Gifted Centers for English Language Learner schools for entry into grades K-8. For 5th grade entry and up, a student must receive a score above the 90th percentile in both reading comprehension and total math on their previous year’s Illinois Standard Achievement Test (ISAT) to be invited to sit for the admissions test. Regional Gifted Centers for English Language Learners testing eligibility is based on the student’s reading and math grades for the previous year. In addition, these students must receive a final grade of B in both classes to sit for the admissions test. The Classical test is for admission into Classical Schools for entry into grades K-8. Furthermore, in order to be eligible to take the Classical Schools admissions test for entry into grades 5-8, the student must also score at or above the 80th percentile in both reading comprehension and total math on the previous year’s ISAT exam.
The Bootcamp sessions are held in the Bright Kids office at convenient time slots. For more information on any of Bright Kids Chicago's programs visit our website.
