Integrative Nutrition Announces New Partnership with California Institute of Integral Studies
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the world’s largest nutrition school, is proud to announce its new partnership with California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), a cutting-edge university offering graduate programs featuring flexible learning. Graduates of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach Training Program are now eligible to receive six graduate credits towards a Master of Arts in Integrative Health Studies.
“I’m so thrilled to announce this new partnership with CIIS,” said Integrative Nutrition Founder, Director, and Primary Teacher Joshua Rosenthal. “As the Integrative Nutrition community continues to grow, we’re constantly looking to create partnerships that contribute to the professional and academic development of our students. With an emphasis on whole foods nutrition, stress management, mind-body techniques, exercise, and meditation, the Integrative Health Studies Program at CIIS is perfectly aligned with the Integrative Nutrition curriculum. This partnership gives graduates a chance to earn an advanced degree in a field that is making great strides towards reversing the current healthcare crisis.”
Graduates of Integrative Nutrition’s Health Coach Training Program, a yearlong online course that combines holistic nutrition education with business and marketing training, are now eligible to receive six graduate credits toward a Master of Arts in Integrative Health Studies. The Masters of Arts degree program also includes a Certificate in Integrative Wellness Coaching and Wellness Management and a Certificate in Guided Imagery. The curriculum offers in-depth study of integrative health and prepares graduates to enter a wide range of professional leadership positions as wellness managers, Health Coaches, practitioners, educators, and researchers.
This new partnership complements Integrative Nutrition’s other affiliations with the State University of New York (SUNY) at Purchase College, Goddard College, California State University Long Beach, Maryland University of Integrative Health, Excelsior College, and the National College Credit Recommendation Service. Through these partnerships, Integrative Nutrition alumni are able to apply for up to 40 college credits to a Bachelor's degree, receive 43 continuing education units, gain advanced admission to graduate study, and earn certificates.
“I’m honored that Integrative Nutrition’s education has been recognized and awarded this status,” said Rosenthal. “We’re always striving to ensure that our students receive the best training and have as many opportunities as possible when they graduate. I welcome CIIS as a partner in helping our graduates create a ripple effect of health and happiness that is transforming the world.”
