Digital Projection Launches 4K LED and 4K LASER Illuminated Reference Projector Line
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 12, 2014 -- Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announces the launch of the INSIGHT series of 4K projectors for elite home entertainment. Comprised of two solutions, a high-brightness, laser-illuminated model and a REC 2020 color space capable LED model, both the INSIGHT 4K LASER and INSIGHT 4K LED present incomparable imagery to discerning audiences worldwide. Furthermore, both projectors enlist the stability of solid-state Lifetime Illumination, ensuring the displays are as reliable as they are captivating. The INSIGHT 4K LASER begins to ship in September 2014, while the INSIGHT 4K LED will be available in Q1, 2015.
By combining true 4K (4096 x 2160) DLP technology with either the dazzling brightness of LASER illumination or the peerless color performance of 3-chip LED illumination, INSIGHT 4K series projectors set a new standard for stunning entertainment in the home. In addition, both the LASER and LED 4K displays provide stable illumination and remove regular lamp replacement cycles from the ownership experience. By bypassing the ongoing lamp replacements necessary in traditional lamp-based projectors, current INSIGHT series projectors deliver a much lower cost of ownership over the lifetime of the display. The solid-state LED and LASER illumination sources provide cost savings to the end-user and peace of mind for the integrators installing INSIGHT displays in their client’s homes.
Currently a ‘Best New Product’ finalist at the CEDIA 2014 Expo in Denver, Colorado, the INSIGHT 4K LASER projector stands alone in the residential market by producing an inspiring 12,000 lumens through laser-hybrid illumination in a compact chassis. Elite home theaters, public entertainment spaces, and outdoor cinemas looking to produce a compelling visual experience now have an ultra-bright projection solution that delivers the stunning detail and image subtlety that only full 4K resolution can provide. Additionally, the INSIGHT 4K LASER’s 20,000 hours+ of illumination life allows the display to deliver bright, color-accurate imagery with minimal required maintenance for years to come. A further benefit to the LASER’s lamp-free illumination means the display can be installed vertically, horizontally, and almost anywhere in between, without degrading the light source lifespan. The INSIGHT 4K LASER produces these many benefits, and yet the chassis is up to 40% smaller than many competing high-brightness 4K displays.
DPI’s new INSIGHT 4K LED merges the detail and clarity of full 4K resolution with the stunning color space and black levels of LED illumination. The advanced brightness and extraordinary color space produced by DP’s 3-Chip LED illuminated displays separate them from all other LED driven displays, yet understates the perceived image brightness and clarity delivered. In addition to the higher brightness, the INSIGHT 4K LED enlists DPI’s Lifetime Illumination™ platform, providing a virtually maintenance-free imaging solution that never requires a lamp replacement. LED illuminated projectors produce imagery with extraordinarily high color purity and saturation. Thus, as prescribed by the H-K* effect, LED displays generally appear much brighter, in some cases up to 30% brighter, than a lamp-based display with similar measured lumen specifications. DPI’s INSIGHT 4K LED combines 3-chip imaging technology with this unparalleled color purity to create the world’s premier projector for elite home entertainment. All while delivering this experience for many years of consistent, engaging and virtually maintenance-free imagery wherever they’re installed.
DPI will unveil the new INSIGHT 4K LASER and INSIGHT 4K LED projectors in booth #650 at CEDIA 2014 in Denver, Colorado, from September 11-13, 2014. Visit http://www.digitalprojection.com for details on this extraordinary new projection solution.
- The International Electrotechnical Commission defines the Helmholtz-Kohlrausch effect as, "A change in brightness of perceived color produced by increasing the purity of a color stimulus while keeping its luminance constant within the range of photopic vision."
