Oliver Luxury Real Estate Unveils New Tesla Motors Destination Charging Stations in Tahoe City to perpetuate the movement to 'electrify' Northern California
Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe, California (PRWEB) October 26, 2014 -- Oliver Luxury Real Estate, a high-end boutique real estate company located in Lake Tahoe and Silicon Valley, unveiled the installation of two Tesla Motors Destination Charging Stations at its 319 West Lake Blvd location last week, during "National Drive Electric Week.” Plans are in action to install additional stations at its downtown location in the coming months.
Tesla Motors also recently announced plans to install a supercharging station in Truckee. With existing charging stations at Cedar Sport Hotel in Truckee, Squaw Valley Ski Resort, the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe in Incline, Harveys Lake Tahoe in State-line, and Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Oliver’s new charging station on the west shore conveniently triangulates access to energy for the electric-car community.
With the 319 West Lake Blvd rebuild and plans underway to renovate its newest location at 660 North Lake Blvd, Oliver Luxury Real Estate continues to be a pioneer in renewing and investing in the local community.
“The company and myself are very proud to help enhance Tahoe City in a positive way. This is a wonderful community, my family and myself are honored to be part of it. We have been fortunate to be able to raise my children in this incredible environment,” said Michael Oliver, Broker-Owner of Oliver Luxury Real Estate. The Oliver stations provide the highest power level 2 Tesla Motors Destination Charging solution available at no cost to the public.
“Vehicle emissions are one of the largest pollutants to Lake Tahoe and the Basin as a whole. Being proactive to ensure that what exists today remains available and pristine for inhabitants living here in the future is vital,” said Vanessa Guajardo, Oliver Luxury’s Marketing Director.
Oliver Luxury Real Estate looks to position the company as a leader in conscious development and real estate in Tahoe, with aspirations to have all offices solar powered in the future.
“Charging stations like these will promote electric vehicle adoption by acting as a safety net,” said Travis Johnson, Director of Utility Planning and Business Development for Liberty Utilities. “If a driver doesn’t have enough juice to get home, they can charge for a few minutes to get enough range to make it to their destination. Electric vehicles will help preserve Tahoe’s water clarity, it is great to see local businesses supporting the electric vehicle movement.”
The Tahoe City Downtown Association applauds Oliver for becoming a true local leader in environmental stewardship and inspiring other businesses throughout Tahoe City.
“There really is no other Lake Tahoe on Earth and thank Oliver Luxury Real Estate for thinking green,” said Stacie Lyans, Executive Director, Tahoe City Downtown Association.
This new Tahoe City Destination Charging station helps to perpetuate Tesla Motors' goal of catalyzing change in the industry and accelerating the world’s transition to electric mobility with increasingly affordable electric cars.
“Squaw Valley Electric welcomes the business created by the Tesla Motors technology and would like to compliment Oliver Luxury Real Estate on making this investment in a green energy solution," said Barry Thys, Owner of Squaw Valley Electric, the installation company on this project.
The announcement made recently that Tesla Motors is building its new battery plant in Reno, is confirmation that the Lake Tahoe region is becoming prime Tesla-country.
“With San Francisco and the larger Silicon Valley region representing a large population of Tesla owners, Tesla’s presence is rapidly growing in Tahoe,” said Broker Associate Darin Vicknair. “In order to accommodate clientele, we wanted to join in the act of ‘electrifying’ Lake Tahoe.”
At Oliver, the use of wind-powered, recycled, biodegradable, and sustainable materials are implemented wherever possible. According to Guajardo, the electric car phenomenon is inspiring and Oliver is passionate about being a part of the movement; anything that can be done to help lessen the environmental impact of cars in Lake Tahoe is a benefit to the community.
“Taking a conscious approach in everything we do is imperative," said Guajardo.
According to the Tesla Motors second quarter 2014 shareholder letter, Tesla Motors customers have now driven the Model S for 394 million miles globally, saving nearly 18 million gallons of gasoline.
