AMX Deploys US DISA JITC Certified Secure Switching Solution to Front Lines at AFCEA TechNet Asia-Pacific
Honolulu, Hawaii (PRWEB) December 11, 2014 -- Supporting its commitment to creating the world’s most reliable, mission-critical AV solutions, at AFCEA TechNet Asia-Pacific 2014, Harman’s AMX invites visitors to Booth 901 for demonstrations of its latest government- and military-focused technologies. These include the Enova DVX All-In-One Presentation Switcher, the world’s first and only JITC-certified secure conference switching solution. To ensure ultra-fast deployment of the DVX and many other components in the AMX ecosystem, the company also announced new enhancements to its Rapid Project Maker (RPM) cloud-based configuration software. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to discover why the Enova DGX Digital Media Switcher has been called one of the most reliable fiber AV switchers for distributing high definition content throughout a command center or on the battlefield.
Since being awarded the Joint Interoperability Test Command’s certification, interest in the Enova DVX by security-conscious buyers has grown substantially. AMX booth visitors were investigating why the DVX is the only conference room switching solution to be placed on the US UCC Approved Products List (APL). Many visitors echoed the comments that Keith Yandell, Central Engineering Manager for AVI Systems, had about the DVX certification, “Getting JITC approval is no small task. This says to me that AMX is taking defense applications very seriously and is willing to invest considerable time and effort. In many cases, products not on the APL will not be accepted in a system design.” The Enova DVX handles just about any conference room AV and switching need with the inclusion of an AV switcher, an integrated NetLinx controller, amplifier, professional audio DSP, and twisted pair distance transport. All Enova DVX Switchers also feature exclusive AMX SmartScale technology for perfectly scaled video on every output and InstaGate Pro to eliminate key constraints and delays when switching HDMI/HDCP sources.
Reliability is the word that has been drawing many visitors to learn more about the Enova DGX Series. This multi-award-winning family of digital media switchers has become one of the most popular fiber matrix switchers for military and government customers because of its redundant power supplies and hot-swappable, field-replaceable input/output boards, which both contribute to highly reliable uptime. Additionally, Enova DGX Switchers all feature the newest AMX NX Series Central Controllers for faster processing power as well as wired 802.1x and IPv6 for increased security. No matter what the application calls for, there’s a DGX ready to support it from enclosures ranging from 8x8 to 64x64 inputs/outputs. And when needs change, Enova DGX boards don’t have to. All Enova DGX boards can be used in any sized DGX to ensure a completely future-proof installation for many years of service.
While hardware is always big for government and military buyers, software that can significantly cut costs and manpower has become extremely popular as well. The Rapid Project Maker (RPM) cloud-based configuration resource from AMX has become one of the most widely adopted tools AMX has ever debuted. By dramatically reducing programming time and providing a simple way to configure hundreds or even thousands of rooms, interest in RPM has been huge. The latest version 2.0, was available for demonstrations at TechNet Asia-Pacific including several new enhancements:
• Dual Room Support – Cuts costs by using a single Enova DVX All-In-One Presentation Switcher to control two separate rooms
• Multiple In-Room Control Panel Support – Empowers in-room control from up to four touch panels, sensors, scheduling panels and/or keypads
• Support for Video Signal Presence Macros – Connecting or disconnecting auxiliary video sources can trigger automation event macros
• Support for AMX DXLink Distance Transport Point-to-Point Mode – Offers cost effective small room solution when using a standalone NetLinx Controller and point-to-point signal transport
• Support for AMX Enzo Platform – Launch applications, web pages, or any Enzo content directly from a touch panel, keypad or other control interface
At TechNet Asia-Pacific, AMX also received many requests from visitors wanting to experience several other solutions, popular with government customers. These included the enhanced processing power of the Modero X Series G5 Touch Panels; simple room scheduling from the Modero S Series Touch Panels; cost effective, extremely powerful room control from Massio ControlPads and the unmatched interactive touch screen support offered by legendary AMX Total Presentation Interfaces (TPI-PRO-DVI).
