Mammoth Machinery Enters Heavy Equipment Rental Market
North Salt Lake, Utah (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Mammoth Machinery and Supply (“Mammoth”) announced today it is open for business. Mammoth is a heavy equipment rental company located in North Salt Lake, Utah. With $5 million of new rental equipment (skid steers, excavators, loaders, graders and dozers), Mammoth will rent their equipment in Utah and the Western United States. Their first office is located in North Salt Lake and they plan to expand within Utah and other states in 2016.
“There is a significant market need for heavy equipment rentals. Try to rent a large excavator or dozer and you will see how difficult it is to find good equipment,” says Ken Allen, Mammoth co-founder. “Our focus on providing new equipment and excellent customer service and support will differentiate us within the equipment rental marketplace”.
Allen spent the past 25 years developing startup companies that grew to have worldwide operations. Allen plans to do the same at Mammoth.
The Mammoth name perfectly fits the organization. Not only is the equipment mammoth sized, but so is one of its founders. At 7 feet 6 inches, former NBA player Shawn Bradley fits the name quite nicely. After 12 years in the NBA and many years working at a local non-profit organization, Shawn applied his business skills and equipment knowledge to help start Mammoth.
“I grew up working on a ranch in Castledale, Utah and operating equipment every day. Being in the equipment business is right in my wheelhouse,” says Shawn, Mammoth co-founder.
In addition to owners Shawn Bradley and Ken Allen, Mammoth added another key member to its ownership team. Adam Goodsell joined Mammoth after spending ten years in equipment sales and rentals in the Salt Lake City area.
“Adam was extremely successful at Wheeler Machinery as one of their top-producing sales representatives. He is totally focused on customer success and is a great addition to our ownership team”, says Bradley. Goodsell will lead the sales effort at Mammoth.
