Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 16, 2015 -- The Washington, DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP) is taking Washington, D.C. to Austin, Texas for SXSW 2015. From March 13 to March 17, Washington, D.C. will be holding court to tell the “We DC” story of the Washington’s business, tech, and creative communities.
In an effort to promote the District as a start-up friendly business community for technology companies and to celebrate its upcoming presence in Austin, WDCEP today announces its “Live Free in DC” contest. For three months, Washington, D.C. will host one start-up technology company to build their dream in the nation’s capital. From housing and workspace to culinary and cultural experiences, D.C. invites entrepreneurs to see what it’s like to turn a vision into a reality with a little help from the District of Columbia. The goals of the We DC House at SXSW include branding DC as a national technology hub; exposing entrepreneurs, talent, and investors to opportunities in DC; building relationships with out-of-town investors; and bringing the DC tech and creative community together. The third year down to SXSW, this will be the first year that DC will also be highlighting the creative economy sectors of Washington, D.C.
