Lamps Plus Hosts Home Decorating Workshops
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) March 16, 2015 -- Leading national lighting and home furnishings retailer and manufacturer Lamps Plus is hosting a new round of their "Ask the Expert" free home decorating workshops. The new workshop sessions are focused on 2015 design trends for the home and are presented by the company’s store-based design experts. Entitled "Refresh Your Rooms - 2015 Tips & Trends", the 60-minute workshops highlight the latest trends in interior design, style, colors and residential lighting.
"Refresh Your Rooms" workshops will take place from March 21 through April 25, 2015, at over a dozen Lamps Plus store locations throughout the western United States, including California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and Texas.
Consumers can find a schedule of workshops happening in their area and RSVP for free at the Lamps Plus Ask the Expert online sign-up page.
An ideal resource for the home decorator and do-it-yourselfer, "Refresh Your Rooms" covers a range of topics, from defining one's personal style to decorating with textures, colors and patterns. All participants receive a Lamps Plus tote bag, full-color handout summarizing workshop key points, and coupon for attending.
As Las Vegas, Nevada, area workshop presenter Lisa Scheck explains, "These workshops are a fun and creative way for the design public to catch the latest trends and décor tips from the pros. They offer a unique opportunity for us to share our expertise with the general public. I love the intimate, small-group setting that allows us to relate with the attendees one-on-one."
In addition to the main presentation, every home decorating workshop is also followed by a personal Q&A session, in which attendees are encouraged to bring their own project photos and plans for expert evaluation. "They're a perfect opportunity to get to know our customers and truly understand their needs," explains Phoenix, Arizona, presenter Patricia Dickerson. "We get a lot of great questions both during and after the presentation."
This is the 12th year running that Lamps Plus has held the in-store workshops, and they have proved as popular with the expert presenters as they have with the general public. Notes Stephanie Missun, Plano, Texas, based Lamps Plus design expert, "For me, holding a seminar lets me express to our customers that we are there for them to help them stay up to date on tips and trends. I believe that by offering the free seminars we are connecting to them positively. Hopefully they can take the current trends and apply them to their own homes." Added Lisa, "And they're a great way for our customers to learn how a few changes can make a space feel fresh, new and beautiful."
Lamps Plus has three more workshop topics already in production for later this year: a summer season outdoor living workshop, a home lighting basics workshop starting in summer and running throughout the year, and a holiday decorating workshop for late fall and early winter. Details and dates for each will be published at the Lamps Plus Ask the Expert sign-up page: https://secure.lampsplus.com/secure/events/signUp.aspx.
