SR Education Group Publishes the 2015 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges
Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) March 18, 2015 -- SR Education Group, an online education publisher based in Kirkland, Washington, just published the 2015 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges on GuidetoOnlineSchools.com. The list features 53 of the most military friendly online colleges and highlights 25 schools with the strongest support for online students. Every school on the list is fully accredited and offers exceptional online support to its military students, as well as earns high marks in overall military culture, flexibility, and financial aid.
The 2015 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges were identified using data from Military Advanced Education, a publication of KMI Media Group. The MAE surveyed over 400 colleges and universities and evaluated them in four areas: military culture, flexibility, financial assistance, and online support. Each college of the resulting 53 that made the 2015 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges, for example, is a signatory to the Department of Defense’s Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding.
Many colleges on the list do all they can to cut costs for members of the military. Some schools will award credit for military training and experience, and many schools offer a significant amount of financial aid to active duty service members, veterans, and military spouses and dependents. In fact, most colleges on the 2015 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges are Yellow Ribbon Program participants, which means they offer additional benefits to military students beyond those offered by the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
“Online schooling is an extremely attractive option for servicemembers and veterans. Many colleges offer benefits for military members, but we wanted to look at which colleges truly have their best interests at heart,” says Sung Rhee, CEO of SR Education Group. “The result is a list of the most military friendly colleges in the nation offering online degrees. All of these colleges go above and beyond in order to help military members receive the education of their dreams.”
All schools surveyed in the MAE were analyzed by SR Education Group and the 53 schools that scored significantly above average are listed on the 2015 Top Military Friendly Online Colleges. Guide to Online Schools also highlighted the 25 schools that had the strongest scores for online support. These schools provide benefits aimed at helping military students succeed in an online environment, like online mentoring programs, chat sessions with tutors, and access to an online library and tech support.
