TierPoint Completes Valley Forge Data Center Expansion
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 02, 2015 -- TierPoint, a national provider of cloud, colocation, managed services and disaster recovery solutions, announced today the completion of its state-of-the-art Valley Forge, Pennsylvania data center facility expansion.
Increasing the available space by almost 150%, the multi-million dollar expansion project adds just under 17,000 sq. ft. of high-density data center space to the 125,000 sq. ft. facility and provides enhanced cloud computing infrastructure, expanded power and cooling capabilities. The expansion will further enhance TierPoint’s abilities to offer managed services, disaster recovery, cloud and IT security offerings in the Pennsylvania market. With 24x7x365 onsite security, technical and engineering support, the expanded facility provides a reliable, secure and robust infrastructure environment to support its client’s unique and evolving technology requirements.
“This is the second expansion for Valley Forge in the past 18-months – its fifth expansion since its inception in 2005,” explains Bob Hicks, TierPoint Senior Vice President and General Manager. “We’re fortunate and very proud to have experienced over a decade of continuous growth, serving many of our original customers in this facility today. This project has really been driven by our existing customer base and is in direct response to growing market demand, especially in this region. In the face of massive data growth, increased security threats, compliance concerns and tighter budgets, TierPoint’s mission-critical facilities, network and support services have become the foundation upon which our clients can build their own businesses. It’s a level of stability, commitment and responsibility we don’t take lightly.”
